Project Details:
The proposed works are the upgrading of Road D3669 in Mavhunga, Vhembe District Municipality. It is the intention of the VDM to upgrade the road from a gravel to a surfaced road. The proposed road works are approximately 12,714 km long commencing at the intersection of roads D3669 and R523 near Hamamuhoyi. Road D3669 traverses from this intersection in a southerly direction through Mavhunga; crossing over two streams and the Mutshedzi River with bridge structures through the mountainous terrain of the Soutpansberg mountains; and ends at its intersection with road D449 near Mpzema.

The route serves the communities Maphaha se Plek, Funyufunye, Rabali, Raliphaswa, Makungwi, Mungomani, Machunga and Mauluma in Makhado Local Municpality.
